Emgage Florida Central Florida Coordinator

About Emgage:

Emgage is a nonprofit and nonpartisan civic education and mobilization organization dedicated to strengthening the engagement of Muslim Americans with the political process and their elected leaders. Our programs include voter education, voter engagement, community outreach, and leadership development. We have chapters in Virginia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Florida, and Texas.

Job Description:

Manages general chapter administrative and operational duties to ensure logistical success and processes run smoothly. Assists with chapter duties and activities and manages outgoing communications. Additionally, responsible for quality control of voter registration campaigns. 

Coordinator Job Duties:

  • Responsible for outgoing chapter communications, including but not limited to emails, newsletters, e-blasts, social media postings, marketing materials etc. Edits all outgoing materials for appearance and accuracy.
  • Assists with chapter events including setting up online registration, flyers, overseeing RSVP, event marketing and distribution of materials etc. 
  • Interacts with various Emgage stakeholders, including reaching out to contacts and partners on behalf of Emgage, serving as an Emgage representative. 
  • Responsible for compiling and organizing weekly staff reports and monthly chapter reports. Coordinates with staff on a weekly basis to ensure all activities are captured in chapter work reports. 
  • Manages Emgage’s voter registration program with an emphasis on the Central Florida region. Management includes oversight of field organizers, volunteer outreach and registration collection.
  • Responsible for absolutely olute commitment to quality control of registration forms collected. This entails ensuring proper procedure of visual form inspections, filled paper reports/cover sheets, properly scanned and redacted forms, and prompt delivery to appropriate SOE office. 
  • Performs clerical and office duties as needed, including some data entry and record maintenance. 
  • Engages in educational opportunities as needed
  • Additional duties as needed by the Emgage Florida chapter.

Required: Self-Driven; Excellent Customer Care Skills; Exceptional Communication Skills; Strong Writer; Ability to Maintain a Strict Level of Confidence; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs; Attention to Detail; Strong Problem Solving Skills; Excellent Organizational Skills; Highly Motivated and Ability to Prioritize Efficiently.

Preferred: Professional Appearance; Excellent Typing Skills; Ability to Work Alone or As Part of a Team; Enthusiastic and Reliable; Knowledge of Basic Office Management Procedures; Reliable, Previous Experience in a Related Field Preferred; and Ability to Engage with Others on a Regular Basis,  Experience with EveryAction and/or Canva software; Loves Customer Service.

Compensation: Position is a part-time, salaried position. Competitive salary commensurate with experience offered. Future growth opportunities with the chapter also possible based on performance and availability. Position requires some regional travel (must own a car) and work on Fridays, and select weekends and holidays.
