Palwasha A. Sharwani

Palwasha A. Sharwani serves as Executive Director for the Texas state chapter. She has served as Elections Director for the Harris County Democratic Party during the 2020 cycle, and as an original member of the inaugural Voter Registration and Outreach unit at the Harris County Elections Administrator’s Office. Prior to relocating back to Texas, Palwasha worked within various roles on the founding and implementation of an Early Head Start Child Care Partnership initiative granted under the Obama Administration in Brooklyn, New York. She completed her Masters in International Affairs at The New School, with a conflict/security thesis focused on Pakistani militarization and ethno-nationalist movement. She is a first generation Pakhtun American and the eldest of five siblings.
