Emgage condemns New Year’s Eve attack in New York City

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Emgage strongly condemns the attack on three police officers in New York City on December 31, 2022. 

According to the New York Times, a senior law enforcement official has stated that the alleged attacker, Trevor Bickford, was driven by Islamic extremism. Bickford has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and two counts of attempted assault.

“Religiously-motivated violence in all its forms is unacceptable,” said Wa’el Alzayat, Emgage CEO. “Emgage will continue to advocate against such heinous acts, and for religious tolerance, both domestically and around the world.”
