Emgage Florida announces launch of Muslim Civic Table chapter

ORLANDO – Emgage Florida is pleased to announce the launch of a Muslim Civic Table state chapter.

The Muslim Civic Table is a convening program that will strengthen and connect leading Muslim nonprofit organizations, advocates, and leaders, and will serve as a hub that brings together the larger Muslim community and its allies.

“Launching the Muslim Civic Table provides a platform for the Florida Muslim community to organize activities and efforts and to collectively work to strengthen the political pull of Muslims in Florida,” said Tark Richard Aouadi, Emgage Florida Executive Director.

Current Florida Muslim Civic Table partners include: Coalition of South Florida Muslim Organizations; South Florida Muslim Federation; Masjid Al-Ansar; Masjid Al-Ansar Food Pantry; The Purple Leaf Foundation; Islamic Foundation of South Florida; Central Florida International Chamber of Commerce; State Voices Florida; Knowledge for Living; Muslim Public Affairs Council; and Emgage.

The Florida chapter of the Muslim Civic Table joins other chapters in Michigan, New York, and Pennsylvania.

We are also pleased to announce the new Muslim Civic Table website, where the public can keep up to date on the initiatives of each chapter. Please visit the site here.
