Emgage responds to mass shooting at Michigan State University

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Emgage was horrified to learn of the mass shooting at Michigan State University on Monday night.

This shooting, in which three were killed and five severely injured, is the latest in a year marked by mass shootings. The Gun Violence Archive stated that there were 67 mass shootings in the U.S. in 2023 as of early February.

“This is completely unacceptable,” said Wa’el Alzayat, Emgage CEO. “Enough is enough. We owe it to our children to pursue their education without fear of violence. Parents deserve to know that their children are safe at schools and universities. Thoughts and prayers are no longer enough. We are broken today. We need comprehensive gun safety reform now.”

Emgage will continue to monitor this situation as more information comes to light.
