Emgage Welcomes President-Elect Joe Biden’s Appointments and Nominations
Washington, D.C- Emgage welcomes today’s announcement by President-Elect Joe Biden of key foreign policy and national security nominations and appointments. The nominees and appointees include the first Latino and immigrant as DHS Secretary: the first woman to lead the intelligence community; an experienced diplomat as US Ambassador to the United Nations; one of the youngest National Security Advisors in decades; and the first Special Presidential Envoy for Climate to sit on the National Security Council.

“This announcement is a great first sign of President-Elect Biden’s commitment to a diverse and competent administration. Emgage and the Muslim American community are eager to work with all of these qualified public servants on the myriad of issues we confront, from ending the Muslim Ban and rehabilitating our immigration and asylum systems, to enacting values-driven policies abroad. Emgage is already engaging with the Transition Team on key domestic and foreign policy issues that concern our communities and look forward to building back better with President Biden and Vice President Harris on day one.” – Wa’el Alzayat, CEO of Emgage
