Aisha Tariq

Aisha Tariq is the Community and Constituent Organizer for the Texas chapter of Emgage. She works to increase voter turnout and build civic engagement in the Muslim American community. Her prior organizing experience includes working for a gubernatorial campaign leading up to the 2022 election, with a focus on youth voter registration and electoral participation. Aisha served as an educator in the Texas public school system for eight years and is passionate about building academic and civic literacy among young Texans. She holds a Master of International Journalism and has also worked as reporter for several news agencies based in the U.S. and the Middle East.
