Shadin Maali

Shadin Maali is the Senior Director for Growth and Operations for EMGAGE.  Shadin will oversee operations to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.  She will also work to solidify, expand and diversify EMGAGE’s reach into new areas and communities. Shadin will also work to secure new donor sources for the organization.

Prior to Emgage, Maali, a small business owner, also worked as Chief of District Affairs for Congresswoman Marie Newman. Shadin, a strong coalition and relationship builder, represented one of the largest Palestinian and Muslim American communities in the country.  As part of Rep. Newman’s team, she helped secure over $2.5 million in community project funding for the Muslim community in Illinois’ third congressional district. She also worked as a Political Consultant for Rep. Newman to successfully mobilize Arab, South Asian, and Muslim constituencies in 3 highly contested races. Prior to Congress, Shadin worked as Principal at the Allen Austin/Gaines International Chicago office where she matched executives in key roles with the top building and design firms in the country. Shadin strongly believes in community service and participates on several committees and advisory boards to advance equitable practices for the underserved and underrepresented both within our borders and abroad.
